International Men’s Day – Levin is a free community event celebrating men and boys and promoting positive wellbeing, connection and support.
Taking place on Saturday 21 November 2026 at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō in Levin, this year’s theme, “The Future is for Everyone,” encourages us to recognise the important role men and boys play in our families, workplaces and communities.
On 9 September, HALT is proud to join FASD-CAN in recognising Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day by lighting up the Foxton Water Tower red.
From sunset, the tower will shine red as a visible reminder across our community that alcohol exposure during pregnancy can have lifelong impacts on a child’s brain and development.
FASD is a lifelong disability, but with greater awareness, understanding and support, we can help children, young people and whānau affected by FASD to thrive.
At HALT, we believe preventing family harm and violence starts with the culture we create around us every day. It starts with what we are prepared to accept, what we challenge, and how we treat one another.
That is why HALT has launched Call It Out – On Field and Off Field.
